// To do great things requires great sacrifice.//

that is definitely true in the sense of grad school.  you have to sacrifice so much of your hard-earned money to pay for this shit.  i just got my fall 2012 bill online.  i kinda just wanna cry.  idk how you all paid for undergrad school and then grad school after that.  i’m definitely blessed and very appreciative and thankful that i received a full ride to HPU.  otherwise, grad school wouldn’t even be an option for me simply because i can’t afford it. mehhh.  we’ll see how this goes.

// Okay, I’m so confused.//

i never had to deal with this stuff as an undergrad because I was blessed with a full ride scholarship to HPU, but now i’m just completely lost.

according to my award letter, the cost of attendance for my USC master’s program is around $36,000.  i was offered a $10,250 loan for each semester for a total of $20,500, meaning I have to come up with the last $16,000ish on my own.  i’m hoping for the $12,000 scholarship from imi na’auao, but i have yet to hear from them.  and i applied for some other scholarships, too, so we’ll see how that goes.

now, going back to those loans, how much am i gonna have to pay back?  cause it’s unsubsidized, which means the government will not pay the interest for me, and i’ll have to pay interest.  where do i find how much the interest is?  and how do i gauge how much interest is ludicrous?  hahaha, i just don’t wanna be paying wayyy more than i need to for school by taking out loans.  but without the loans, i’m not entirely sure how i can pay for school.  brahhh.  why is education so expensive?  i just don’t understand.
